In case you missed it, last night Cardi B was supposed to make history as the first female EVER to headline the Rolling Loud Festival. And in case you don’t know what the Rolling Loud Festival is, it’s a 3-day music event that started in Miami, FL and is now the largest Hip-Hop festival in the world. So it’s kind of a big deal. And Cardi B was the first female EVER to headline the festival. But instead of making history for her performance, her estranged husband Offset was allowed to interrupt, crash (however you want to put it) and steal her moment. And now a moment that was supposed to go down in history and uplift female rappers, is going down in infamy for embarrassing the first female rapper ever to headline the show.
The production of the Rolling Out Festival allowed Offset to crash Cardi B’s set (where she was working!) in order for Offset to apologize for personal issues they have in their marriage – which, truth be told, have nothing to do with her music, her performance, or the PUBLIC period. But we’ll get in to how the production team at Rolling Loud allowed the disrespect in a moment. Let’s first take a look at what happened exactly. I’m going to show the video from a view different points of view…
Before Cardi B’s set Rolling Loud tweeted (and later deleted) that Cardi B’s set was not to be missed.
After Offset was allowed to upstage Cardi B’s performance Twitter had a lot to say about how unprofessional it was for Rolling Loud to allow Cardi B to be harassed on stage by Offset.
I doubt Cardi B is going to sue Rolling Loud even though she was clearly annoyed. And she actually seemed more annoyed that people were pointing out how selfish and manipulative it was of Offset to crash her performance like that. Here’s what she said in her live video after the show… And here’s what she posted on her Instagram about it.
… And if you still think all of this mess is a publicity stunt, here’s what Cardi B said about that recently.
Leave a comment and let me know what you think about Offset crashing Cardi B’s historic performance as the first female ever to headline the largest Hip Hop festival in the world. Do you think it was fair of Rolling Loud to allow Offset to harass her while she was working? And if the tables were turned, do you think Rolling Loud would allow a wife that had cheated on her husband to interrupt his history making performance to apologize to him??? Leave a comment and let me know what you think!
