Negrita is a term of endearment in Spanish that does not refer to color. ” Tú negrita means your girl” has nothing to do with pulling the race card. Calm down people

In the Mexican culture we call our kids ”mi negritas”or ”mi negritos” if they have darker skin tone or güeritos or güeritas if they have whiter skin tone. It has nothing to do with race or actually being African American or Anglo it is simply a form of expression for being morenita or blanquita. It doesn’t mean we are being racist or we want to be anything else. It just a way to show love and acceptance for having a different color skin tone. I don’t think JLO is saying she is black like African American black just that she is morenita. My son is Mexican American with green eyes and he is call el güerito not because people want him to be white. It’s just an expression. It’s not offend anyone.
