Cardi B Vying To Perform SOLO At 2019 Super Bowl Halftime Show!

When the NFL recently announced that pop group Maroon Five would be playing at the next Super Bowl half time show a lot of hip hop fans were extremely disappointed.  Some felt that since the Super Bowl was being held in Atlanta, and Atlanta is the home of dozens of hip hop artists – like 2 Chainz, Future, Migos, TI, Ludacris, and a lot more – that an Atlanta based hip hop artist would be asked to perform for the half-time show.

A lot of Atlanta residents felt like this person who tweeted:

Now the NFL is allegedly trying to appease fans by adding Cardi B to the Super Bowl halftime lineup.  Although Cardi is not originally from Atlanta, she does live there now with her husband Offset from the Migos.

Sources tell TMZ that  Cardi B is in negotiations to perform her song with Maroon 5, “Girls Like You” during the halftime show.  BUTTTT… Cardi is also trying to get a solo set out of the deal.

Cardi B allegedly has a lot of offers to perform around the same time of the Super Bowl, which is in early February, so she’s trying to make the best deal possible.    And for her, the best deal possible would not only be performing with Maroon 5, but also having her own solo set where she can perform her own music.  And Cardi B is likely to bring other Atlanta artists on stage with her, like the Migos.

I thought a lot of big brands would be done with Cardi B after she attacked Nicki Minaj with her shoe.  But apparently Cardi B is NOT cancelled and she may be getting ready to perform one of the biggest shows of her life.

Leave a comment and let me know what you think about Cardi B performing during the halftime show at the Super Bowl. Do you think she’ll be able to get her own solo set? And if she does, what family friendly songs does she have that she can perform?
