AAliyah Fans TURN ON Her Uncle Barry For FAILING To Release Her Music To Streaming Platforms

Barry Hankerson, Aaliyah’s uncle, owns the rights to all of Aaliyah’s albums except her debut album. And on August 25, 2019, the anniversary of Aaliyah’s birthday, he posted a tweet leading fans to believe her music would be available on streaming platforms on January 16, 2020.

However, that date has come and gone and not one single Aaliyah song is available to stream on Apple Music, Spotify, Tidal, or even Prime Music. And now fans are blaming Barry Hankerson for not making the late singer’s music available for streaming.

Now, since the promised release date has come and gone – and fans are home with more time to stream music – fans are blaming Barry Hankerson for not allowing Aaliyah’s music on streaming platforms. And the hashtag #freeaaliyahmusic is trending on Twitter.
