Last week news broke that NeNe Leakes had been fired “for now” from The Real Housewives of Atlanta. At the time of that report NeNe allegedly hadn’t received a contract from Bravo for Season 13, which spurred reports of her being fired “for now.”

In response to those reports NeNe’s manager issued a statement explaining that “conversations” were still happening between NeNe and Bravo. And that NeNe would “always be welcome” on The Real Housewives of Atlanta.

Now, according to sources who spoke exclusively with Hollywood Life, Bravo has offered NeNe a contract!

The source told Hollywood Life,

“There is a larger conversation happening with other things potentially in development. So, she has yet to make a decision regarding the next season of RHOA.”

So although NeNe has been offered a contract, she has not yet accepted it because of other projects potentially in development.

And according to reports, NeNe Leakes is pushing for her own show at E! News.

Both E! News and Bravo are owned by NBC Universal, and NeNe’s manager recently issued a statement saying that NeNe was having “bigger picture conversations with NBC Universal.”

Steven Grossman, Nene’s manager, said:

“It is absolutely not true that Nene has been fired from RHOA. “Furthermore, it was made abundantly clear prior that she will always be welcome on the series as long as she wants to be. There is a larger NBC/Universal conversation happening it’s [all] folded into.”

His statement aligns with the allegations that NeNe is trying to shop her show to the E! News channel instead of Bravo, since E! News is owned by NBCUniversal and her manager specifically said they are speaking with NBC Universal.

And a source told Hollywood Life,

“She was offered a contract, so it’s her choice at this point if she wants to take it. She’s weighing all options and it’s going to come down to the right deal and money. NeNe just wants a fair deal for her and to get what she feels she’s worth. Yes it’s about money, but it’s also about what direction she wants her career to go in right now because she is discussing other things. These projects wouldn’t prevent her from doing Housewives, though.”

Another source added that when NeNe does leave RHOA she wants to “go out on her own terms.”

And according to that source, Nene has allegedly been

“pushing for [the spinoff] behind Bravo’s back so when they do let her go, she looks like she came out on top with something else already in the works.”

But the source revealed “Bravo isn’t budging on the contracts so unless she accepts that, it looks like she won’t be coming back [to RHOA].

And the source also claimed that E! “has shown no interest in green-lighting the series” so far.
