Beyonce’s Own Father Mathew Knowles Says She Wouldn’t Be As Popular if Her Skin Was Dark
Beyonce’s own father, Mathew Knowles, claimed in a recent interview with Ebony Magazine, that Beyonce would NOT be as popular as she is if her skin were darker.
He said “When it comes to Black females, who are the people who get their music played on pop radio? Mariah Carey, Rihanna, the female rapper Nicki Minaj, my kids [Beyonce and Solange], and what do they all have in common?”
Obviously it’s their lighter skin tone.
He also shared some interesting thoughts about Beyonce’s mother, Tina Knowles.
