Sanaa Lathan Reveals Her Big Chop for New Movie ‘Nappily Ever After’

Sanaa Lathan revealed her ‘big chop’ for her lead role in the Netflix movie “Nappily Ever After”.  The book is based on the novel by Trisha Thomas, which I just so happened to have read when I first went natural back in 2003.  The main character Venus, is being played by Sanaa – although I think the character’s name has been changed to Violet.

In the book Venus experiences a tumultuous relationship with her boyfriend, who is not necessarily impressed when she shaves her head bald. Lynn Whitfield and Ernie Hudson also star in the movie, presumably as her parents.
