Tatyana Ali Suing Producers of The Real Daytime Talk Show

In her lawsuit, which can be found here, Tatyana Ali spells out exactly why she is due credit for creating the talk show that eventually became known as The Real.  Specifically, she developed the idea for the show with producer Judge Mathis and pitched it to Warner Brothers executives just months before The Real was created.

She says she came up with the idea of using young celebrity hosts from a variety of ethnic backgrounds to host the show.  And she even pitched using the hosts that The Real is now using!

Now a lot of people were wondering why Tatyana waited so long to file her lawsuit. I was advised it was because she was waiting for The Real to make a large enough profit so that when she sued, she could get as much money as possible.  Makes sense to me.

I hope Tatyana gets what she’s due.
